Wow! I Love These Shoes!

These shoes:

Above: Vicky Double Buckle Pump in Pewter/Black by Corso Como

NEED to be part of my wardrobe.

They are spendy at $158.00 but I am going to do an internet search of them and see if they can be had for cheaper.

Too gorgeous.

Kings of The Wild Frontier!

I found this jacket the other day while roaming the Internet:

Above: Women's Edwardian Corded Jacket (Black)- Converse by John Varvatos

It instantly brought to mind the song "Stand and Deliver" by Adam and the Ants:

Adam Ant was so flash and dashing back then! And stylish in his Edwardian way of dressing!

It also reminded me of the film Marie Anoinette starring Kirsten Dunst:

Which also used Adam and the Ants song, "Kings of the Wild Frontier", for the scene when Antoinette beds her lover who Sophia Coppola purposely styled after Adam Ant.

As you can guess I want this jacket! I love the Edwardian cut of it and it needs to be in my wardrobe!

Someone buy it for me!

It's Tough Enough!

I was wandering the Internet and found a few things that just make me go..."Yes! Cool! I want!

What you ask?

This jacket:

Above: gunmetal lambskin 'Alix' wool knit jacket by Mackage .

That jacket has a touch of the 60/70s to it and is cool.

And this shirt:

Yes, it looks awful on the dress form but, something tells me that it would look stunning on a real, live, human, body.

And these boots:

Above: Veronica Patent Vintage Slouch Buckle Boots by Frye

I love the distressed look of them and the grey colour. They look "lived in" without all the work!

Such cool finds and it makes me wish I were loaded with cash at the moment. I would buy all three!

Yay For Photoshoots!

This is not the normal fashion blog post for me.

I just had a fun as hell portrait photoshoot that was at night!

It makes me feel like this song:

Bohemian Like You By The Dandy Warhols

Now off I go to edit all 275 photos from the photoshoot.

Carmen Miranda Inspired!

I HAD to post again because...

These shoes:

Above: Hot Pink Colourblock Ankle Strap Platform Heel Sandal by Amiclubwear

Remind me so much of the wonderful 1930s/40s Brazilian singer, Carmen Miranda. The original "Lady In The Tutti Frutti Hat".

Just look at them!

So bright, so tropical, and with the lovely leaf design to them!

And so pretty on the feet!

I want a pair!!!!!

A Touch Of The 1920s And 1930s.

I am noticing a new trend when it comes to Fall clothing.

It seems the designers are being inspired by movies of the 1920s and 1930s when it comes to clothes items in their collections for Fall.

You want examples you say?

Let's start with shoes since I have the pages open for them. Any of these shoes could easily be imagined onto the feet of a 1920's or 30s actress.

Above: Nina high heel shoe by Pink Studio.

Above: Arco iris by Marcello Toshi.

Above: Fado sandal from Chie Mihara.

Above: Nine West Croc Double Strap Platform Shoes

The last pair I could really see being worn in a 1930's musical!

There are just so many shoes inspired by that time period this fall...as well as clothing.

Above: Coat with Fox Fur Collar by Chirstian Dior.

Above: Puff Sleeve Top by Issa.

The above top I can see on an 1920s actress with a long, straight skirt, black tights, and a pair of the shoes I posted in this blog...and maybe a cloche hat.

Above: Eden Dress by With Hearts In My Eyes.

I see fringe! The above dress is like a shorter flapper style dress!

Above: jade georgette ruffle front blouse by Madison Marcus

So pretty and ruffled.

Above: One shoulder asymmetric dress by Maison Martin Margiela

The above dress just drips with "silent screen siren" appeal.

There are many more as you may have noticed in recent blogs I have made and online.

I am liking this trend since I love old movies.

Thermochromatic Crap T-shirts.

I remember these t-shirts the first time around in the late 80s:

Above: Unisex Thermochromatic Sheer Jersey T-Shirt by American Apparel

They were called "hypercolor" then and I admit I owned one though I rarely wore it. After about 3 washings it stopped "hypercoloring" and just was a drab grey.

Now they are back and as tacky, and crappy, as ever.

Thank you American Apparel for bringing back such a crappy 80s fad. You can be such a douchebag-like company and this is just another proof of that.
