Calendar Model-esque

I just have to share this photo since it feels so "Hot Men" Calendar in style to me. Definitely a cool shot.

Dave will be posing in full Gladiator armor for me in Sept. Judging by the last shoot it will be even more fun since he will be "storming Rome" in the form of being shot against Roman columns. I am also investing in some make-up to create dirt smears that last. So, that is definitely something to look forward to.

I have another model lined up for June 1st (next Friday). I am not sure what she is dressing as yet but I am sure it will be another fun photo shoot.

Flowers Of Spring

It is finally warm enough that flowers are breaking out on trees, growing out of the ground, and brightening up the spring world.

The warm weather is inspiring me to head outside more often and I am definitely going to be taking more flower photos this spring and into the summer.

I am loving the warmer days and hoping to get more photo shoots scheduled through the summer months as well.

Photographing a Gladiator

I have been buried in editing these past few days as I try and get done with the last photo shoot so I can start planning new ones.

Yes, this would be the "Gladiator shoot" and it went quite well after realizing Bloomsday was going on that day downtown so having to switch location to Manito Park. Even the park was quite busy so we got a lot of strange looks due to loincloth costume wearing model. It was a nice, warm, day so perfect for a photo shoot making the other people easy to ignore.

I am hoping to use David as model again, Not often you meet a body builder who doesn't mind posing in public in costume. I want to photograph him downtown near the Romanesque pillars with his real looking sword (Sparatcus replica) that he just bought.

Now, to get back to editing photos from this shoot.

I am smack in the middle of editing my latest photo shoot. It was a lot of fun and is of a guy dressed like a gladiator. I am hoping to be done with the edit by Sunday and then start looking for new models for my Superheroes/Villains/Comic Book photo project. I feel I have slacked off on it recently and need to get working on it again now spring is really here and the weather nice. So, that is in my plans in the next month or two...just have to write up an advert for it again and post it at Model Mayhem.

I have been downtown a lot in recent weeks. I took a photo of one of the gorgeous days in Riverfront Park and am hoping that the days continue to be as beautiful as in the photo.
