Shoes I Would Love To Own.

The shoe girl deep inside me has this mood she enters from time to time. The mood is for rather outlandish shoes that are anything but what the society deems "normal to wear". This mood has struck me at the moment as I saw two pairs of shoes that totally fit the bill of "strange" by society's terms.

I am loving the grey suede and feather adornment on these heeled sandals. They just beg to be worn to a fancy dress party. Too gorgeous not to show off.

The high-heeled hiking/work style boots have always intrigued me and I probably will end up owning a pair from somewhere in the future. It is just a style that always catches my eye and makes the shoe girl in me smile.

Ahhh, Fall always gets the shoe girl inside me excited as new styles and designs in shoes come out. I cannot wait to see what this season has to offer.

Alligator Ring On My Finger.

I was gifted an Avon ring by my Avon selling mum. I had spied it in the "What's New" brochure that she gets as an Avon representative and thought it was cute. I pointed it out to her and made the "This is cute." comment about it. She ordered for me and gifted it to me.

What ring you ask?

I am proud owner of the alligator version of the above rings.

It is beautiful in real life and the coloured stones show up well against the brass coloured metal of the ring. I had a sales clerk ask me where I got it and she expressed shock at it's origin. She thought it was from somewhere exotic and I had bought it while traveling.

It is a substantial ring, not for the woman who doesn't want to have her jewelry noticed. It is also not that expensive ($14.99) so there is no buyer's remorse, which I end up having often since money is a bit tight at the moment.

I will have a lot of fun with this ring.

Loving This Cardigan.

I am putting a stop on spending to spare my savings. The economy is not being friendly to me and I need to cut back on express spending. This means I will be doing a lot of virtual shopping without really buying without really buying the item. Hopefully this will change in the near future but until then, I will just have fun without the spending too much money.

I noticed this cardigan and love it.

It is the perfect top layer for early Fall and the colours are neutral so they can easily fit into Fall wardrobes.

Some one buy it and tell me how they like it.

Want These Booties But Cannot Afford Them.

I really want these ankle boots!

Above: Open-heel Ankle Booties by Colin Stuart

They are being sold at Victoria's Secret and at $88.....out of my price range at the moment. I just love how solid and "not cheap" they look. They appear to be well-made and like they will last longer than a season. I can picture myself wearing them with striped socks, tights, and short skirts. They definitely would fit into my wardrobe.

I am a bit annoyed I cannot afford them and will probably look for inferior knock-offs which won't last em as long. I probably won't find any I like and will just end up not getting them. Such is my bank account at the moment. Still, a shoe loving girl can dream, can't she.

Not Expensive, Yet Cool.

I keep looking at this top on the Forever 21 website and want it like Gollum wanted the One Ring.

Above: Boatneck Knit Tunic at Forever 21

I just love the cut of it and the flowy sleeves. The tie at the waist is great too.

It would just fit into my wardrobe so well. I keep stopping myself from buying it, despite it's "not breaking the bank" price of $13.80 because I am trying to cut back on spending (to save up for a move) and wear what I already own. I cannot help the draw it has to me as if I were raven and the tunic were something shiny.

I must try and resist!

My Photo Sharing!

I attended the "Graduation Party" of a group of Japanese students on Friday. They had spent the last 3 weeks in the USA experiencing the culture, practicing their English, and staying with host families. My parents hosted the teacher that came along with the group so we were included, as a family, in the party goings on.

I attempted to take photos but the lighting in the auditorium was awful. I had to bump my ISO up to 1600 just to get clear shots. I did get one great photo of two of the girls in their bright kimonos.

I love the pinks in the kimonos and the bows at the back.

Just thought I would share.

I Want These: 08.18.10

I could not pass up looking at clothing sites tonight and have to say, I really want the following items.

Above: Cashmere and wool-blend dress by Marc Jacobs

Which I would probably wear with boots like these:

And I a loving this off-white coat:

Above: Violet belted coat in off-white by Soia & Kyo

It may get dirty easy due to the colour but the cut and the body-hugging style of it just appeals to me.

I can see myself wearing these boots because they go great with my winter coat and a majority of my wardrobe:

And this necklace is a beautiful, layered, bold, mess:

And this sweater would look great when layered:

I am starting to look forward to Fall now but will be sad when summer ends since I enjoy the warm weather. I just am starting to want to pull out the fall wardrobe coats, tights, scarfs, and all but first, I want to enjoy the last, lazy, days of summer.

Checking In. Yes, I Am Still Alive!

Sorry I have been missing in action. It had been horribly hot and I have been avoiding online because of it. The house does not have air-conditioning so it is hard to stay cool and I just do not feel like sitting in front of a computer for long stretches when the house is super heated.

I am also trying to get caught up on things in my life, reconnect with some people, and pursuing some of my other hobbies at the moment. I always fall into this mode in the summer time.

So please be a little patient and I will be back to blogging soon.

Until then take a peek at my Comic Con photos:

I hope that everyone is having a kick-ass summer (or winter if you are in the southern hemisphere) and I will be blogging away again soon!
